Haven of Hope
Haven of Hope is a residential counseling program, designed to address emotional, behavioral, spiritual, and family problems for troubled teen girls ages 15-18. We provide a structured, spiritual, and nurturing environment, biblical counseling, academic instruction, and industry. We take a wholistic approach to treating problems from a Biblical perspective. The program at Haven of Hope requires a 12 to 18 month commitment. The structure and polices of the program are designed to minimize stimulation and to give consideration to matters of importance: discipline, problem-solving, industry, lifestyle changes, recreation, and developing healthy relationships. In addition, time and opportunity are given to address issues of pain, receive healing from God, and grow and mature according to God’s original plan for each individual.

Home Setting - A Christ-centered home environment
We strive to create a Christian home environment in which residents can learn to succeed over time in a nurturing atmosphere of Christ’s love, support, accountability and structure. In addition to physical safety, we strive to provide a spiritually and emotionally safe environment by attending to the needs of the body, mind and spirit of each resident. The girls will be supervised by godly Christian women who will love, nurture and mentor them.

Therapy – In a Christ-Centered Home
Our program provides weekly individual counseling and daily group counseling sessions. Our counseling staff consists of professional and Para-professional counselors all trained in the area of addressing emotional issues using a biblical perspective. Our goal is to present biblical solutions for the whole person- mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially.

Academics - In a Christ-Centered Home
We believe that patterns of educational growth are linked to emotional and spiritual maturity. Because we will have a diversity of educational needs within a small setting, we offer a home school program called The School of Tomorrow. This self-paced, self- instructional Christian curriculum will provide individualized training which meets each person’s specific need.

Industry – In a Christ-Centered Home
Because of the untold value in industry our residents will be taught responsibility in housekeeping, wholesome food preparation, gardening, landscaping, community service, and business management. The goal of community living duties is to prepare teens for adulthood with practical life management skills. There is time for staff and residents to engage in common interest activities and friendly associations in outings as well as indoor board games and personal quality time. The amount of time and effort spent in industry and recreation is highly beneficial in the long term success of the individual.
