Ministry Update

Edition: December 2023

Greetings from our admin team from their getaway last month!

CAN YOU SAY YES TO MORE HOPE?

Your involvement in this foster care ministry makes hope possible in so many ways for kids in crisis:

  • More adoptions by our foster families

  • 7 new foster homes are expected in the next month

  • 49 homes are in the pipeline to become foster parents

  • The Brown's story - Saying yes to being a door of hope

  • Resolving to explore foster care in 2024

  • Attending our Galentines or Golf Classic in February and April

Please read on to see how together we continue to provide more hope...

From the entire A Door of Hope team

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
— James 1:17

Because November was National Adoption Month, we had a lot of adoptions - at least 7 among our foster families. Here are two...

On Monday, November 13th, KJ found her forever home with the Landi’s!

Adoption days are filled with all kinds of emotions as you’re excited to officially welcome this child into your forever home, but sad and heartbroken for the bio parents as they continue to struggle with their life battles.

Although we do everything we can to have the child reunified with their birth parents - unfortunately that’s not always possible.

The Landi’s hearts cry out to the bio parents, but are also honored to be able to love and care for KJ forever. 🤍

After 1,123 days in foster care and 849 days in the Heringer’s home, on November 20th Mikey was officially adopted!

Although our goal at ADOH is always reunification, sometimes God has other plans and we couldn’t be more excited for this family as they embrace Mikey as their own. 🤍

1 NEW FOSTER HOME
7 NEW HOMES EXPECTED IN THE NEXT MONTH
49 HOMES IN THE PIPELINE TO BECOME FOSTER PARENTS

We are incredibly thankful for loving foster families like the H's who were just licensed to foster three children between the ages of 0-7. This family can’t wait to open their home to these children and see how God works through them as they love and care for kids in crisis!

Foster mom Kelly Brown proclaims, "You’re essentially a door of hope...opening your door to heal children..so they can have hope."

"That’s why A Door of Hope is so important. It is so grounded in Christianity. God is their rock. If you’re looking to support something this is where you need to be, “ exclaims Todd.
