This incredible young couple loves children and is beginning their family by fostering. In fact, the Ds just received placement of a sweet 2-year-old boy. As Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, ‘Anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.’ Then he took the children in his arms and placed his hands on their heads and blessed them.” Mark 10:15-16

We love it when a new foster family immediately accepts a placement. That's what the "G" family did. A three-year-old needed a home and immediately and got one!

JULY 11 ZOOM INFO SESSION
Our mission is to provide a Christian foster home for every child in crisis in west-central Florida. When you attend an info session, we help you understand what a foster parent's calling entails from physical/emotional and spiritual aspects.

We had a great time last Sunday sharing at Feather Sound Church. Pastor Art Dykstra has seen us grow from the beginning. It's a blessing to have so many supporters who want to volunteer in some way.

THE MOST INSPIRING NIGHT OF THE YEAR
A Door of Hope provides hope for kids in crisis by providing loving, Christian foster homes in west-central Florida
The A Night of Hope Gala presented by Calvary Church of Clearwater is Tampa Bay’s most exclusive gala of the year benefitting local foster children. The evening includes silent and live auctions, a three-course dinner, and a dynamic program featuring stories from our foster families!
The goal of the A Night of Hope Gala is to raise critical funds to help children that have been removed from their homes because of abuse, neglect, or abandonment. A Door of Hope recruits, trains, licenses, and supports Christian foster homes. The cost to license every new family is $4,500 and our goal is to license over 100 more homes this year!

An Adoption Story from Jolene Slavik
When we adopted her children last week she came home with us after meeting with the judge to hang out. I looked on as she snuggled her children while we prayed and she tucked our kids into bed for the first time in 2.5 years and here is what she says:
"So May 31st something amazing happened in mine and the kids' life. This wonderful family adopted my babies, as well as me. Jolene Slavik is an amazing mother!!!! When I saw how she took care of the kids with love, affection, and caring I knew she was the one. I also look at her like another mom as well.
Aaron Slavik is an amazing father!!!! The way he loves and cares for the kids. Just watching them enjoy the family as one. Allie Slavik is an amazing big sister!!!!! The way she helps out and her bond with the kids is priceless. Jonathan Slavik is an amazing older brother!!!!! Their bond is unbelievable and unbreakable.
I know I did my kids wrong in the past. I fixed my problems, but I also found an amazing family for the babies!!! I wouldn't ask anyone else to have my kids but them. They all are soooo amazing, loving,and care for me and the kids. I wanted to say thank you to all of you and that I love y'all more than all the stars in the sky."
