“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
We are so excited to announce that the R family was licensed yesterday! We praise God that they already took placement of little E, the cutest thing ever! E came from another licensed ADOH family who told the Rs about us. Everything has been a breeze. We're excited to see what the future holds for them.
More families like this are needed to love foster kids without a home. Explore foster care: adoorofhope.com/info-session
We are so inspired by the T family for welcoming a fifth child into their home. This time, a foster child age 5 or younger. Our hearts are in awe of their generosity and willingness to open their home and hearts to provide a safe and loving environment for a child in need. We love and admire all our foster families for recognizing the need and doing the hard but incredibly rewarding work of making a difference in the lives of foster children!

Some church partners have been with us for a long time, but none as long as Calvary Chapel St. Petersburg. Calvary Chapel has been with us since the beginning, and it’s not an overstatement to say that A Door of Hope wouldn’t exist without them.
There isn’t enough space to talk about all Calvary Chapel St. Pete has done for A Door of Hope and foster care ministry in the Tampa Bay area. We love everyone at Calvary Chapel St. Pete and are thankful they are joining with so many churches across our community to give hope to children in crisis.
There are many ways for your church to partner with A Door of Hope, just like Calvary Chapel St. Pete. Want to find out how? Click here:
Y'all, I just have to share something so cool that it gives me goosebumps and tears... These babies are so traumatized it is truly heartbreaking how terrified they are, especially at night. The coolest thing about this (foster care) experience has been watching my bio children minister to this little boy every time he is scared.
My girls started telling him about people in the Bible who were scared and how God helped them to be brave and do big things. They then taught him the “My God is So Big” song to sing when he’s scared.
You guys… Don’t be discouraged in your foster care journey. You are making a difference, one song at a time. And our amazingly awesome, powerful, and BIG God orchestrates every moment of the journey.
– Foster Mom L
Here's a bunch of short God stories from one of our foster moms:
1. Our three foster kiddos, ages 4, 6, and 7, all know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
2. They love going to church.
3. They talk to their friends about Jesus and know that TRUTH sets you free, not LIES.
4. They see us live forgiveness through everything.
5. They see there is no shame in mistakes; we learn.
We need to remember that Jesus loves us unconditionally, and although things happen in our lives that would cause us to be angry, upset, and close ourselves off, we extend grace and love; we love through it. WHY? Because Jesus does that for us daily, and we represent Jesus as parents.
We appreciate your prayers for our sold out gala.
This year we selected a new larger venue after maxing out the JCC last year with nearly 50 tables. The move to Armature Works was made in hopes that in a few years, we could max out this space.
Little did we know that we would come close in just one year with 65 tables!!!
We thank the Lord for making this possible. Now we ask you to pray that God would continue to bless the preparations and the event for the sake of all the kids in crisis in our area who need a Christ-centered foster home.
Thank you for your support and prayers...
