Hurricane Ian Update

We're so thankful that all our foster families are safe. A number had to evacuate to find safety and are doing well. This was especially challenging for a few families in Manatee and Sarasota counties. Some have power and some do not, but overall are doing well. Our two staff members from the south (Shannon and Madison) evacuated to the east coast of Florida and are safe and sound.

You may not know that one responsibility of our licensing specialists is to make sure each one of our families in mandatory hurricane evacuation zones gets out and finds a safe place for their whole family. Each one of our staff is to be commended for making sure all 198 of our families were in a safe place during the incredibly devastating Hurricane Ian.

Another positive story is from a family with a medically needy baby. The great news is they did not lose power, so they didn’t have any issues with this sweet baby girl’s feeding tube.

As we learn of the full impact of Hurricane Ian, our prayers go out to all those affected.

Amazing Number of New Homes

We just opened 7 new foster homes in the past 30 days. This means up to 14 kids in crisis will have a safe, loving Christian home. Amazing! Thanks to everyone who supports this ministry. You made this possible!
